Diane A. Rhynes

Diane A. Rhynes is a multifaceted writer, playwright, screenwriter, producer, educator, and creative executive whose work highlights the intersections of faith, culture, and the human experience. As founder and president of Sloan Productions, LLC, she develops film, television, and stage projects rooted in emotional truth and spiritual depth.
Rhynes is the creator and executive producer of One Faith, a dramatic series following three adult siblings and their community as they navigate relationships, loss, and spiritual transformation. The project’s first season was initially released and distributed as a feature film before its episodic adaptation. She is currently in preproduction for Season 2.
Her earlier work includes the Gospel stage play When You’ve Been Called, which she wrote, co-directed, and produced in 2012 at the University of Akron’s EJ Thomas Performing Arts Hall, as well as the novel adaptation of the play. Rhynes also has an extensive journalism background, contributing to the Akron Beacon Journal, Leader Publications, Record Publishing, and Black Church News. Her production experience includes associate producing on independent projects and serving as script supervisor for TOXIC: A Black Woman’s Story.
In addition to her creative work, Rhynes serves as an adjunct professor of Biblical Studies at Valor Christian Academy, bringing her academic training and ministry experience into the classroom.
She holds a BA in English from the University of Akron, an MFA in Motion Pictures and Television (Screenwriting) from the Academy of Art University, and a Master of Divinity from Regent University.
